Brekka Retreat Mountain Cabin
Perched higher up the hillside, Brekka Retreat Mountain is our original cabin, built in 2019. This cozy hideaway offers the same peaceful atmosphere and stunning fjord views, perfect for guests who want a more rustic yet comfortable experience in nature. The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, a private outdoor hot tub, and a warm interior designed for relaxation under the northern lights.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4×4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

The cabin was beautiful, from the modern interior to the stunning views around! It was the perfect stay, very remote and out the way of the city but still close enough to travel to. The hottub was a nice touch, great for stargazing at night. Elka and Barbara were Great at responding and were very helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

The property had recently been completed and we were lucky to have been the first guests to stay there, over NYE too! The location is truly amazing, from the bedroom, lounge, bathroom – everywhere it’s simply dreamy. It’s been finished to a very high standard and you can see that as soon as you walk through the door, it was faultless. It really was the perfect retreat, cannot recommend highly enough! Elka was the most amazing host, super fast responses and so lovely and kind. For the spa suite, it was the most gorgeous getaway for a few days to relax our tired hiking bodies. It was super clean, with lush amenities – what more could you ask for. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend Elka and the spa suite. It was our favourite place and part of our trip, and it was very well located with plenty to do around.

Staying here was incredible, one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is beautiful, with jaw-dropping views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The amenities, from the sauna to the hot tub, were amazing, and the design is very thoughtfully laid out. We were able to see the northern lights from the hot tub, which is something I’ll remember forever. For a romantic getaway, it was absolutely perfect.
